British Science Week
As part of British science week we have been raising the profile of science across the school. All year groups have been involved in investigating what is the best biscuit for dunking. Each year group had a slightly different question to answer and in order to do so they have used different science enquiry types including: observation, classification, fair testing and pattern seeking. It has been great to see the children so excited by science and use their previous science learning to inform their investigating. Year 2 used their knowledge of materials to make predictions.
“I thought the chocolate biscuit would be the worst because its texture was crumbly”
“I thought the ginger biscuit would be the best because it is hard and rigid”
So if you want to know the best biscuit to dunk in your tea/coffee – ask your child!
