Procedures for Severe Weather, Snow and Icy Conditions

Our procedures for closing school due to snow and severe weather, which is in line with Hampshire’s advice, are outlined below. The decision to close is at the discretion of the Headteacher.

As far as possible we will remain open, as long as we are able to provide adequate staffing, heating and water systems and safe and secure movement on and around the school site. If we are able to open during icy and snowy conditions, we will set up marked pathways to ensure everyone can move safely to and from the school entrances and exits.

Keep looking on Hantsweb and our school website from 7.00am to see if the school is closed. . A parent communication notification will also be sent out to inform parents/carers of any closure.
