Great fun and wonderful costumes during our World Book Day celebrations.
The Key Stage 2 children led us in our Christmas Service brilliantly today, sharing their RE learning over the last half term. It was an uplifting service with beautiful singing, keyboard playing and our very own All Saints Band on flute, piano, guitar and vocals. Just wonderful!
Class 4 enjoyed exploring the history of Winchester Cathedral, and were even allowed into really old parts not normally open to the public, in order to see 900 year old paintings. The children even saw The Crypt, slightly flooded!
After lunch, fun was had at the Archaeology Workshop making Anglo-Saxon Shields and then finding artefacts in the sand to identify and draw.
Please look on the Class 4 page for more photographs.
Class 6 had an exciting time at their Winchester College Takeover Day, when they were tour guides for the day, sharing information about the artefacts and showing their prepared art work. Well done Tigers! Please look at the Year 6 class page for a large number of professionally taken photographs of the day.
This week our EARA Group (Equality and Rights Advocates) led the school in an introductory assembly to present their mission statement and focus for the coming year. They did a good job in explaining their role and have challenged each class to come up with an All Saints ‘Inclusive’ poster for our school community. Well done to the EARA group.
Dolphins had a wonderful time on their geography fieldwork trip to Southsea.
Well done to Jaguars and Dolphins for leading the readings at our Harvest Service. We also welcomed Year R with a special service, where they were presented with bibles from All Saints Church.
